@NowYou'rePlayingWithPower I told everyone, in my post about creativity, and now you see ^

It all makes sense doesn't it

Kind of reminds me of partisan politics, tbh. :ROFLMAO:

I guess the exhaustingly boring youtube video topics make a lot of sense now

"HELLO RETIRED WHITE COLLAR WORKER WITH DISPOSABLE INCOME, ARE YOU READY TO LEARN HOW TO ROCK AND OR ROLL AS SEEN ON TV BY EVH, NUNO, JAMMY HANDRICKS, BONERMASTER AND SLOWHAND?"

To be fair, it's better than reading another 6V6 or "which country is better this week than the thing they were worse at last week" post by our resident savant.

I completely disagree, but only because I completely ignore those posts

It's impossible to ignore the youtube content, because it's literally the only youtube music/gear content that exists

Seriously, it's so difficult to find any gear videos about anything remotely cool - it's basically like Ola sometimes, and then random non-gear channels

Pretty much stopped watching gear videos a long time ago.
Most of the time those people seem like there is someone off camera pointing a gun at them.
I find Bradley Hall to be kind of funny, despite being a bit repetitive and childish.
Just hoping that one day I don't become senile enough to start reminiscing about the good old days when Glenn was all the rage.

Even Glenn circa 2014 is like the Kirkland Signature ™️ Heavy Metal Enjoyer©️

"I don't like those screaming singers, I like people who yardle, but I also like that one heavy metal tone that everyone uses."

Everything you need to know about Glenn Fricker's taste is that he thinks late period In Flames is good, and early In Flames sucks.

I actually think i'm going to write an essay on this and AI it into a youtube video or something because I think there's a feedback loop happening.

No one listens to anything interesting, or even listens in depth to the basic-bitch music they listen to. Out of the 20 basic bitch people, 1 becomes a guitar player who has no creativity because he listens to basic-bitch music. Then 1 out of THAT 20 becomes the guitar player who listens to "the hits" and writes shitty, banal music that no one cares about. Then everyone complains that there's no good new music... because there isn't.

This isn't how being a musician used to be. You had to interact with other musicians in local "Scenes" and get exposed to all sorts of different types of music that would inform your playing, consciously or subconsciously. Then the internet was a place to promote your music after you already were some kind of an "artist" who was the sum of all your artistic/musical experiences.

Instead of being forced to evolve, everyone is becoming a Marty Music©️ cutout of a musician. I think it's a side effect of the internet and social media TBH.

Robert Johnson

Freddie Green. Part of the greatest swing jazz rhythm section with Count Basie, Sonny Payne and Eddie Jones.

I worked with Eddie Jones (bassist) in the early/mid '90s.

Eddie is front and center, with Sonny and Freddie:

I mean yeah Freedie Green could easily be top 1 on anyones list but yeah I mean top 2 and in good company on my list in either case.

That's pretty cool man, honestly when you play with people like that it really helps alot IMO and it really is priceless. Can't really get a better lesson than with jamming out with real players like that.

Cheers ^_^
