I'll watch the video later but my understanding was he was that he was angling for the creation of a third party.

Maybe I misunderstood.

That was the basis of the video, but Pool took it a little further than that. The premise was an alternative republican party of sorts that is more moderate/centrist and push out the extreme leftists. Pool put out a couple videos on this so this one may not cover all his thoughts.
