Just finished building this, thought you guys might like to see it :) 7-string custom built for myself! 2-piece korina body with flame maple front, bolt-on solid 1-piece rosewood neck with flame maple position markers, heel-less neck joint (the neck has a long tennon which slides into a slot in the body and bolts in from the back), 25.5" scale on treble side, 28" scale on bass side, Bare Knuckle Pickups custom humbucker wound to Aftermath specs (I built the pickup baseplate and BKP wound and potted it, etc), custom made fanned bridge with thru body stringing, oil and wax finish. I also calculated the string tensions and put together a custom set from single strings so the tension goes up gradually from high string to low. This definitely works - it sounds the most consistent across the strings of any of my guitars.
I thought the fan would be difficult but its really quite easy to get used to. I love it!!!!!!

Damn, that's nice looking...you got some skills there. I'm pleased with myself when I install a pickup correctly the first time.

wow what an amazing guitar you build there! mind to show any shots of the back?

^^^This^^^^

Enjoy it man it is a beaut!

Awesome mang. Congrats. I'd love to try a fanned fretter. 25.5 is just too loose for a low B.

Not my thing at all but mad props fo da skillz yo!!!!

Thanks for the compliments everyone :) here's a few more pics. I'll take some decent ones sometime; these were just on my phone!

This shows the flame nicely, and the recessed bridge, knobs and truss rod plate :)

This shows the fan properly (please ignore the light shining on the curve up to the nut which makes the zero fret look wrong - its just the light) :)

The only pic I have of the back. Its a bit dark but you can see that there's no heel cos the neck slots into the body.

Damn that's a beaut!

How does the pickup sound? I see 8 coils spread out over 7 strings?

Do you just build these for yourself or do you sell them by any chance?????? :)

WOW....that is really impressive, what is the purpose of the angled neck?

Thanks all!! :)
Sorry I only build guitars for myself now (altho I do sell the odd one every now and again to fund the next build!!lol).
The fan frets allow a longer scale length on the bottom strings to get higher string tension and better tone, while keeping the high strings shorter and therefore lower string tension to aid bending strings, etc (there are other reasons but thats the main one imho). Its actually pretty easy to get used to it, not as bad as you'd think!
And the pickup sounds great, thanks!! I had to use 8-string coils so they were long enough to cover all the strings with the angle of the pickup. And there are no issues with the fact that the pole pieces therefore dont line up with the strings; the magnetic field is plenty strong enough to pick up all the strings. They all sound perfectly balanced :)

COOL! I love a guitar that makes everyone say "What IS that?"
