I think this amp sounds fantastic! I am a sucky player.....I have a traditional headshell being made by Blades and if anyone is interested I can send them gut shots of the build quality. Its fantastic. Don't care about what done is done. All I know is this amp sounds great!

I have been playing the shit out of mine as well the past few weeks.
 
Wow, finally an amp that looks traditional. Nice. Amp sounds good. Its got that grind I like.

:thumbsup: Hes even taken my advice and doing it with a traditional handle and no cup holder.
 
Not really keen on the cup holder. But that Offset handle makes carrying the amp so EASY!
Balances it out where a traditional handle the amp will sag to one side with the weight of the Transformer.
His handle balances it out perfectly. :thumbsup:
Plus I always stack my amp heads. Some of the amps I had in the past I actually had to remove the handle since it jutted out so much on the top making the top amps unstable. His handle the amp top is perfectly flat. :yes:
 
after listening its pretty raspy probably cause its off axis with the phone placement. I am a treble nazi so I surprised how much high end is in the recording.
 
When I made my clip I knew it all gets recorded little 'thinner' then in the room.
SO I purposely darkened it up for the vid. Hate all the trial and error in videos. :lol: :LOL:
 
Dude obviously the phone recording isn't doing it proper justice but there is certainly something there that says, "this amp sounds legit."

Would love to see the guts. Wouldn't it be funny if Blades took off like gangbusters due to more conventional aesthetics?

I told him he had a better shot doing it traditional and offering the other version as custom! He took me up on it!

The trial and error does suck! I took a few amps out to the garage last week and tried 3 or 4 different times to get some decent sounds onto a video to post up here and I just couldn't bring myself to post it up. Sounded so different from what I was hearing in the room, it's tough. I've scored some cool amps that I want people to hear, some stuff you dont see on here every day, but i've got to find a way to get some better quality. :doh:
 
The Zoom Q3 is pretty decent. But it does compress and thin. So I would record....go in the house upload it.
Scrap it. GO back out and move the damn thing...try again.
Repeat but this time got to adjust the settings. :lol: :LOL:
Pain in the ass for a guy like me with little to no patience. :D
 
Full sounding. Very impressed with this. Actually thinking of a blades after watching this.

It really is a fantastic amp!
 
I dont want to steer the thread in a wrong direction, but would you say that the firebolt has the ccv thing going on?
It reminds me of one, not that I've ever owned one. The notes sound rich and full to my ears.

Listened on my phone the 1st time. Nope.... did not do that amp any justice.
But thru a decent computer sound system....killer. :rock:
 
That does sound really good. Billy seems to be listening to the consumers wants a little more because the company line was strictly we will never tone down our cosmetics for anyone.

You hit it on the head.. growl is a better word for it. Great way to describe it. Very articulate. When he was playing balls to the wall, I was smiling. :rock:
 
Treble Nazi eh :lol: :LOL: Sounds way better than the clip you posted awhile back, treble is fine to me I dislike dark amps.
