Rocktron Introduces The ValveSonic Plexi

Rocktron is pleased to unveil the ValveSonic Plexi, the first in the ValveSonic series of all tube guitar preamps. Developed in conjunction with LA Custom, this preamp captures the vintage tones of the iconic British “plexi” amplifiers, from the early stacked amps of the 60’s, to the arena sound of rock in the 70’s, to the sound heard during the 80’s “Sunset Strip” era and beyond…all in one convenient rack space.

The ValveSonic delivers pristine tone, no matter the musical genre. Its 1-2 switch allows players to quickly toggle between the ‘modern’ type of input used on British style amps, and a fatter, “classic” type of input. The Bright control allows five different variations, and the gain and boost controls allow you to replicate the 80s and 90s British amp tones. When combining the use of the unique Afterburner switch, the ValveSonic allows you to fine tune your exact tone.

About time! This has been years in the making from when they first had them on display at NAMM. I say what the hell..with the synergy stuff out there and the ever present hot Marshall craze, these will fit right in. It sounds pretty sweet and I think they will be priced just right. Plus, this is also something I can hide in my rack without my wife wondering why I bought a whole other amp that I won't play .

800$ US bones. Ouch! That's over 1k Canadian funny money. I thought they were street going to be 450_550 when rocktron first wanted them out?

I am sure it sounds great .Its LA custom which is Frank from the Egnater USA days.

If this product had come out 4 years ago at a $699 price tag and MIDI I think they would have had a chance ,up against Synergy I don't really se the point ,especially if you were going to buy more than 1 tone

there is no MIDI for switching
There is no direct out with speaker sim
If you bought this and say the Fender one (if it comes out) your in for $1800

buy a SYN2 799 plus Metroplex ,Twin deluxe $1600
4 channels ,switchable
easy to incorporate into amp setup
MIDI
Direct out w good XLR cab sim direct to Daw

Much agreement here

They have been blowing out the plexi and the blackface this week. Got my blackface for $319 all in.
Still waiting for it to ship.

Anyone else actually play either of them?

Love to see new rack gear coming out but I think this is a bit overpriced.
I agree but I've been waiting for Stymon...a rack from them would be epic.

If It was half the price, as is I would have one on order as I am wanting to build a rack. At the current price IF it had MIDI, DI, ETC. I would be all over it.

The lack of features will make it fail. But maybe cheap on the used market hmmmmm.

:D They have. Can't you read?

I've bought stuff from them.

I went onto their site to buy online and they sent me to Amazon. $799. No thanks. I was hoping for a link to the cheap prices. :D
