Don't you hate it when no matter how many times you say "STAY", it still follows you home. ;)

Really wasn't looking, but always wanted one of these. Found it at a great price.

It didn't look this good when I got it today, but after about 3 hrs of hand polishing the top and back, it looks like new. It was a player's guitar, lots of surface scratches and oxidation.

Currently has SD Alnico II Pro pups in each position.

Let me introduce you to the 2004 Gibson Les Paul Standard LE Manhattan Midnight Blue. :headbang1:
Sorry the white looks so washed out in the pics but it was really bright outside when I took these pics.

Not intentionally.

Although I do have somebody that wants to trade me a sweet cherry burst Lester for my PRS when I get back home in a week or two. I don't play the PRS much and the Lester is really nice.

What really sealed the deal for me with this LP:

1. Blue--always been my favorite color and it's sometimes hard to find really nice blue guitar finishes.
2. Ebony fret board--Been a huge fan of ebony ever since the old B.C. Rich custom shop days.
3. Limited edition with SG Crown headstock inlay. Maybe a pipe dream but since they were short-run, maybe they'll appreciate?

The first ebony-fretboard guitar I ever played was Paul Stanley's black Mockingbird with all the Austrian crystal set in the top. One of the nicest guitars I've every played and got me hooked forever on ebony fret boards.

Edit: I actually found a picture of the guitar on YouTube--I actually played this guitar once when it was in B.C. Rich El Monte custom shop getting modded--I think I was either 14 or 15 at the time!

Nice score. Mine is a players guitar too, but looks great from the front. Mine is actually heavier than my '73 LP custom and I actually like it better.....

Its nice you dont have to worry as much about bumps or scratches  I have had several Maple Blue Flame top guitars and luv them.

Looks awesome!
To me I would rather have a 'players' guitar then a MINT one.

The MINT ones......I am afraid to play them and mess them up!

Great score! ;)

Yeah I have a Blonde Beauty LP with the maple flame inlay up the back center of the neck and only take it out for a few minutes to strum lightly and tune her. She stays locked away in the case basically un played.

That is a beautiful piece. Congrats. I know the feeling, a new Custom just followed me home too! Damn strays!

I love how the cream pickups look against the blue. Some one must have changed them because I believe Seymour can't do double cream because of the Dimarzio patent. I've got Wolfetone Marshallheads in double cream in my red V and it looks good.

They are WHITE, nothing stopping anybody from doing double white bobbins.

Did yours come with a really ugly cream pick guard in the case? Mine did, it has never been put on. I put it up next to the guitar to see how it would look and it was awful. Mine is never going on, not even sure why they included it.

No pick guard. Even if it had one, I wouldn't cover a figured top with it.
