Best cleans of any multi channel amp I’ve tried and also one the best fuzz platforms on it too. Only fuzz platforms I like more are my Hiwatt and low input on the NaylorAwesome score dude! I love my SRG.

Definitely a lotta amp for the money. Do an AB comparison and see if you’re still impressed with it... I thought I had great high gain amps before, but then got my iic+ 7 years ago did my AB comparisons and sold most what I had before. It totally raised my standards in high gain amps. Not too many other high gain amps stuck around or sounded good when compared. Some amps that it has humiliated and/or sent packing include: Driftwood Purple Nightmare, Uberschall Rev 2, Diezel Herbert, DAR Forza, Baron DHG, Omega Obsidian, block letter 5150, several Engl’s, Laney TI100 and probably others I’m blanking out on. Some of those amps mentioned were my friends that we AB’ed and some were ones I owned and sold afterhaha thx a lot dude, but to be honest I really love the peavey stuff as they are cheap and they sound really good for the heavy stuff!![]()
I run Mesa STR 415's or JAN Philips 7581A's, usually. If current production tubes, the TAD 6L6GC STR are good tubes.Thx man! Any power tubes suggestions?

I’m the wrong guy to ask about tubes, but it seems to be one of those amps that’ll still sound great with almost any tube, speaker, guitar, pickups, boost pedal, etc. Still have yet to find something it doesn’t agree with. Something like my Marshall’s on the other hand are more sensitive and need the right stuff to pair with them, but well worth itAny power tube/ preamp tubes suggestions?

Thx man! Mine came with these! I don't particularly like the JJs but it came with this one - shielded - in V1.I run Mesa STR 415's or JAN Philips 7581A's, usually. If current production tubes, the TAD 6L6GC STR are good tubes.
Haha I’m again the wrong guy to ask. I have a an HRG, had a DR and have tried an SR and have 3 Mark III Coliseums that Mike B modded with the ++ mod. I like the HRG best of what I’ve had for c+’s and definitely prefer non-simul class for my taste. Others say the S versions are a more aggressive or gritty, but not quite as big sounding. Maybe others who’ve tried both can confirm. The SR I tried was also really nice. Maybe better clean even than my HRG, but been a while since I last tried itThx man!! How does the srg compare to the hrg?
So many cool amps u got there buddy! Nice!!!Haha I’m again the wrong guy to ask. I have a an HRG, had a DR and have tried an SR and have 3 Mark III Coliseums that Mike B modded with the ++ mod. This. A big part of the ‘3D’ thing that I hear are the Sylvania 6L6GCs. Mesa 415s are the same tube but fit within Mesa bias range. They are super hard to find. My Coli has them. Luckily though, you can still find used but strong Sylvanias out there, RCA branded for example that usually bias in the low 30s so they work great. For preamp tubes I like the tubes they originally came with, Tungsrams. With a couple Chinese 8th gen mixed in. Disconnect your Reverb too, and try that. Improved the tone just a bit to my earsI run Mesa STR 415's or JAN Philips 7581A's, usually. If current production tubes, the TAD 6L6GC STR are good tubes.
I’ve had the SRG, HRG, HRG++ and now a Coli regarding C+s. To me, the S had the best tone and feel, while the H had a little less and the Coli slighty less still. But, when turned up the Coli comes roaring back. But if I could make the S I had into 180w it would be the best one I’ve ownedHaha I’m again the wrong guy to ask. Looks like Chinese pre, all good. But if you search out a pair of vintage Sylvanias you’ll notice the difference from those JJs, believe me.Thx man! Mine came with these! I don't particularly like the JJs but it came with this one - shielded - in V1.
Yeah that seems to often be how things compare from my experience with various wattage. More power vs more tone lol. I’m guessing you can’t fully have both 100%. Always some trade off like the rest of lifeI’ve had the SRG, HRG, HRG++ and now a Coli regarding C+s. It was based on an HRG, which is what I haveIsn't Petrucci's #1 (that they used to voice the JP-2C) an S? Pretty sure I read that somewhere.
Yep, I agree...problem is the 415s have dried up. I’ve heard that Mesa ‘may’ have some but you’re talking 300 a pair. I’ve got 6 strong in my Coli but my backups are Fender or RCA branded Sylvanias. They usually measure at 30-35ma, safe number. The only versions I won’t buy are the Peavey ‘Super Six’ versions..I’ve tried 4 and they are SUPER hot. Way out of range.Yes, to strong Sylvania‘s for the SRG and HRG, as well. Once you get into DRG and KRG, it’s a different story, as they run high PV’s, and some of those non-Mesa tubes can crumble under that PV (dont ask me how I know....). Important to check Ma readings in the amp, though... have seen some Sylvania out there that run real hot, so check them! Also, I agree with the Tungsrams..... I use them in conjunction with RFT’s and/or C8’s, too.
