Mesa ‘may’ have some but you’re talking 300 a pair. I’ve got 6 strong in my Coli but my backups are Fender or RCA branded Sylvanias.
Mesa does have limited supply of NOS, but yes, pricey @ $250/pair, last time I checked. Another good option for the Coli (usually slightly lower cost, but also hard to find) are JAN 7581A’s. I’ve got some back-ups for the Coli.

sounds sick
congrats
the fact that you pulled this in italy makes it twice as nuts!
nothing second hand is cheap especially music equipment let alone a grail like that

Thx dude! Yeah I got really lucky to get this one, it's in pristine condition still with the boogie tag ?

This. A big part of the ‘3D’ thing that I hear are the Sylvania 6L6GCs. Mesa 415s are the same tube but fit within Mesa bias range. They are super hard to find. My Coli has them. Luckily though, you can still find used but strong Sylvanias out there, RCA branded for example that usually bias in the low 30s so they work great. For preamp tubes I like the tubes they originally came with, Tungsrams. With a couple Chinese 8th gen mixed in. Disconnect your Reverb too, and try that. Improved the tone just a bit to my ears
Hey man, thx for the advice! How did the tone get better?

When I disconnected the Reverb it seemed to 'focus' the tone better, if that makes sense. More alive. When it comes to the Sylvania 6L6GC(Mesa 415) it turns the amp's tone into more of a '3D' experience; the harmonics are even better than before. You'll really notice it when you can turn it up and put some juice to it.

Thx a lot for the prompt answer! I guess I ll just remove it and let you know! Cheers!

Some say getting rid of the circuit completely also takes the tone up a notch..haven't tried that though. But yes, experiment with it and see if it works for you.

Really special day for me as this has been my dream amp for more than 10 years... I was lucky enough to find an original 1984 mark IIC+ in Italy in pristine condition and for a really good price! I had to sell a lot of gear in order to fund this but damn it's worth it..
Late to the party but congrats bro ? ? May you have endless hours of joy jamming through it !!
