I mean why? Why would a die hard Hendrix fan buy something made by PRS?

Don't care what it sounds like, dislike their cosmetics for some reason.

Vintage and reliable? Give me a Lead 55LV.

The demo has some nice Hendrixy clean and low gain but there's nothing with any sort of gain that sounded very good in that demo to me. Bogner Helios, Suhr SL68, Germino are all better looking and it would appear better sounding. And then there's all sort of knockoffs.

But I guess I can't blame them for wanting to build it.

The dude could have at least played a vintage 60s Fender strat instead of the PRS wanna-be.

And Paul, that logo....... (n)

What famous player put PRS on the map? Carlos Santana, who played Woodstock along with Hendrix. I'm surprised PRS didn't get Santana to enwhorse this amp and claim Carlos "channeled Jimi's spirit", or just let Carlos ramble on about some other new age/spiritual bullshit that he is so fond of, using Santana as the conduit to reveal this mythical amp circuit from beyond.

I love the whole "we modeled it after a Marshall that Jimi may have played..." lol!

Lol, perfect

"May have played" as one of his Woodstock amps, which it very likely is. His new amps for Sping 1969 were shipped from England to West Coast Organ and Amp, in Ca. There, certain mods and making his amps more road-worthy were done.
The amp is in the Hendrix museum and Paul and Doug got to look it over.
Most demos are shitty, but there a few decent ones. Paul dropped the ball, IMO, shipping the initial models to hack YouTube reviewers who can't dial in an amp or play anything in that style. Really don't need to hear Don Carr playing country licks thru it.
The price is too much.
