Played for about 5 years until the back said STOP! - only broke 90 twice.
We lived on a course back then and I played it enough times that I birdied each hole at least once.

The HIO is an uphill tee shot usually into a pretty stiff wind.
Was shooting right into the sun and I couldn't really see the entire flight
but it felt like one of those very rare 'perfect' swings. Was playing with a
three-some and they all commented that it was gonna be a short putt.

I went with two other guys looking for an errant T-shot.
4th guy drives up to the green and a few ticks later yelled it was in the hole.
No-one else saw it ( I witnessed a partner get one while a foursome was watching)

I drive up to the green and begin to grab my putter and then stop.
Notice the other 3 guys are waiting on me and then realize I gotta get my ball out.

Pretty massive goosebumps once it settled in. Next hole was a long par 5 and
we had to wait on a group so there was lots of celebration!

TL;DR

Was pretty cool getting one and it was pure. The other one I saw was a crazy bounce.

I started playing back in '95. I was progressing well, until something happened with my back. It felt like having a hot cord pulling from my hip to my shoulder. Extremely painful! I had been practicing my driving five days out of the week. One day... Snap! It stayed this way for nearly 6 months, then began to subside.

Question: An old golf pro said to me; "You've got the strongest left side I've ever seen." What did he mean by that?
