BS...it's racist fucking drivel.
Bet it makes you feel real fucking uncomfortable, huh?
BS...it's racist fucking drivel.
Does CRT visit the roots of racism in this country and what political party is rooted and responsible for creating the KKK and Jim Crow laws or is that whitewashed? Not sure where you got all that.
Critical Race Theory in the United States is an academic movement that began with a number of civil rights and legal scholars in the 70s and started becoming more mainstream in the 80s. The idea is to stop ignoring, or whitewashing, the uncomfortable episodes of our past and teach factual accounts of the country's birth and growth in hopes of furthering the advancement of our social and legal constructs as they relate to 'All Men Created Equal'.
It's been taught at Universities for decades and the push now is to start it with students at younger ages.
Teach the kids about slavery and also about all of the white people who fought to abolish it.
Teach the kids that Robert E. Lee was a traitor against the United States.
Teach the kids that the Civil War was almost entirely about the southern rich not wanting to pay for labor.
You know, REALITY instead of the Walt Disney fairy tail that we were all taught.
Can we get back to Woke cause I can't imagine that that was your entire definition.
You seem to imply that Democratic party then = Democratic Party now, or not?*Does CRT visit the roots of racism in this country and what political party is rooted and responsible for creating the KKK and Jim Crow laws or is that whitewashed?

Since you mentioned Nazi’s… if Germany created a new Nazi party it could just be said, they (now) aren’t like the old Nazis (then) .You seem to imply that Democratic party then = Democratic Party now, or not?*
People who think this way, in my experience often also tend to focus on the 'Socialist' part in the name of the N.S.D.A.P. as well, and therefore argue that socialists are nazi's.
Talk about short-sightenedness.
Mistakes should be learned from. Look at Iron Maiden...after No Praying, at least they came back with Fear of the Dark. ;-)
*=FWIW, I agree that in whatever course material, all the historical facts should be presented and not cherry-picked, if it could reflect less positive on current organizations or people. But again, good people not only learn from their mistakes, most of the time they weren't the perpetrator either, so it would then be unfair to them to judge them for the fouls their predecessors/ancestors made.
Or would you argue that Scott Travis is probably a bit too child-friendly and gropy, since his predecessor as a Priest-drummer Dave Holland was...

Since you seem to know so much, how about you enlighten us all and define all of the times you feel we weren’t great, then we could look at the gaps you left open. Or are you just too lazy to put any thought into itSure, by those too lazy to put any thought into it.
Kind of like most of the lazy opposition to CRT.
And the right hates it because:
a) liberals want it
b) elites came up with it
c) it will move us further away from when America was great.
Still waiting for someone to define the actual period of this supposed greatness,
and what it is about that period that made it reign so superior in their mind.
define all of the times you feel we weren’t great
I knew you were a punk. You bring up a topic and try to call out those you disagree with, then deflect when called out on it.Whose perspective should I use when answering this?
And let's play fair. You tell me what period of time you considered America to be Great.
define all of the times you feel we weren’t great
You really can’t understand the first sentence in post #27? You even quoted it above and still don’t understand.Crazydave: Try being a grown-up instead of immediately regressing to grade school taunts every time
you feel intimidated.
WHOSE PERSPECTIVE SHOULD I USE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION?
Or do you want me to use my own?
I’m out…
The 90s sucked for me, because I grew up going to inner city schools as one of the only white kids (usually the only one in my class.) They would have "CRT" style presentations where the speakers would tell all the kids how evil white people were, did nothing good, bold face lied and told kids about accomplishments blacks never actually did, and preached nothing but hate. Times were always fun after those, when I would be physically attacked for something I had nothing to do with. There are those who would say I "deserved it" for being white. Those people will never recieve a positive response from me. Everyone has something they "went through" though, huh?The 60s sucked for me cause kids weren't taught to be tolerant back then so I would get beat up cause my
mom lived with another woman.
You wanna cover more decades?

I am well aware of what they are teaching today. Yes, it is the same message. It just depends on where the message is being delivered as to how militant and racist it is. I was listening to some stuff coming out of South Africa the other day. People were commenting that they "couldn't believe what was going on". It didn't shock me, I heard it in my own country 25 years ago and depending where you go, you will hear it today. Why do you associate 'CRT style' with 'evil/hate/lies'?
You sure the CRT that folks are talking about today is the same shit that Samuel L. Jackson taught you back in the 90s?
