Wow!!! That is so epic!

It’s a great instrument. Really digging the aggression and clarity of those ceramic Nailbombs through the Wizards.

Tell me about it. I have 2 Duvells with Ceramic Nail Bombs and one with a Silo. Great pickups

Just received my first Wizard & I’m highly impressed with the sound & build quality! I’ve only owned 6L6 amps in the past & have wanted an EL34 based amp this time, so I ordered it built for E34L tubes.

After many, many years lusting for, and struggling to find a 100w MCII in Australia, I randomly came across an interesting ARD build for sale in another state. After chatting with the owner and some other local wizard owners about the local ARD lore, I confidently took the plunge despite not being able to hear it in person and I'm so happy I did because this thing is fucking KILLER.

The previous owner told me this amp apparently started life as a Vintage Classic 50w but Rick had modded the amp to W800 specs (without the contour control unfortunately) and also added a foot-switchable 2nd channel. So I guess this is considered a 2 channel 50w VC/W800 hybrid with individual channel volume and gain controls, a solo boost and master volume on the rear of the amp. Happy days! At modest settings it delivers pushed, edge of break up tones to AC/DC to huge, open high gain roar with big vintage character. Haven't even boosted it yet but I'm sure this beast has a lot left to offer. This amp will be with me for a very long time.

Despite that, I can feel an addiction taking root. So the hunt for a 100w MCII wired for 230v continues.
