If your primary reason to vote for, or continue to vote for the trainwreck of a political party that is fast tracking the destruction of the US is based on abortion, your priorites are so fucked up that you should probably be institutionalized.

We'll that's not the only way it happens. These issue may cause people to NOT vote at all.

Such as when Trump's big lie caused less Republicans to vote in the Georgia run off, handing the Senate to the Dems.

I don't care actually, I have no dog in that fight. All I'm saying is a percent of Republicans do, so they my not vote, or switch teams.
Likewise it fires up a larger amount of Dems to go out and vote, where they may have otherwise just sat on their fat lazy asses.

I agree economy is the largest issue, but the it only takes a few percentage points to sway most elections.
