Yet another pickup suggestion thread....

Looking to upgrade the pickups in my Fender Mod Shop HSS Strat I recently got. Not a fan of the Shawbucker at all. Looking to go with something along the lines of a JB but a little "more". Setting this guitar up in standard tuning with the occasional drop D to C# for AIC type stuff. Open to other suggestions besides the ones I list below.

Current ideas are:
-BKP Holydiver
-BKP Nailbomb
-MCP Afwayu
-Duncan Distortion

I didn't care for the Shawbucker either.

Aldrich or Afwayu. Although someone here has a MCP double D, supposedly his take on the JB, could try that.

I was reading about his pickups a bit as well. Might have to give those a try. Wicked 8 sounds promising to me.

I’m going to toss in the Aldrich as well; first thing I played after installing one in my Orville was “Them Bones”, that pickup (in a LP anyway) is fucking perfect for the AIC/Cantrell thing. I’m going to be raving about that pickup for a long time.

It's a set of Suhr V60LPs. I was originally running a Thornbucker Plus in the bridge.

I was just going to suggest this as well, I love this pickup in my Rg2560, sounds great at all different levels of gain
I used to be a BK Holydiver die hard but not for $200 a pop
the Jalen FW and the Suhr Aldich have become my JB "type" favorites as of late.
