Please enlighten us as to how you've come to this conclusion.
I think it’s highly unlikely the choice of a speaker or whatever other news you’re referring to puts the US at any meaningful risk of becoming a Christian theocracy. And progressive have been pounding their view of morality and society on the rest of us for too long, so it’s amusing to see these sorts freaking out now that their power hold might be on the wane. Somebody should have advised them they might have been getting a little ridiculous somewhere along the way there.
is all over the news these days
Has it ever occurred to you that you could be manipulated by the news media?

You haven't been paying attention.

Dude, start reading up on the topic of christian nationalism. I can't make anyone believe ME, but I can suggest becoming informed on the issue.

Okay, suggest something that might be more persuasive.

Many evangelicals and former ones like myself have known about this ideology for decades. It has been preached from a lot of pulpits over the years. The news media has nothing to do with the first hand experiences of many, many people on this issue.

Seriously, you're talking out of your ass because you don't know anything about this topic other than your own uninformed opinions and cynicism.

I mean something that argues your point with evidence and reason. Not sure why you think I don’t know anything about the topic.

Interview of Jeff Sharlet, author of "The Family" by Chris Hedges:

Sharlet and Hedges are experts on the topic.

@denialist, I would start with the second YouTube video, the interview with Andrew Seidel. I'm too lazy to rearrange the links. LOL

Yes, public schools are clearly teaching a system of morality around human sexuality that is opposed to the Christian view, among others. They are also reinforcing the idea that one can choose their sexuality, even though they try to conflate it with “gender.”

Of course people can choose their sexuality. It’s their sexuality. They are the only people on the planet that it has anything to do with.

School has absolutely nothing to do with for or against Christian values.

Sorry, choose their “sex.”

Sorry, choose their “sex.”

I’m not aware of that happening. That’s why some people use those dreaded pronouns. They want to “identify” as something they may not outwardly appear to be.

But again that goes back to equality. If someone sees men and women as equals, why does it matter what they are, or want to be perceived as?

“Against Christian values” means absolutely nothing.
If a teacher went out and said “Jesus wasnt real and hell is fake”, sure I could see a problem with that.
But simply stating something that happens to go against Christianity is in no way inappropriate or offensive

I have no idea man. According to google it’s been illegal since the 1880s
Yeah, it’s anti-Mormon, and anti-Islam. Most other folks have the good sense not to marry more than one woman (or man) ?

Of course it’s happening — public schools in some jurisdictions are to honor/force the preferred identity, including bathrooms, sports, pronouns, etc.

Equality doesn’t necessarily mean there are no differences. A bag of apples or oranges each cost $5…
