I love my black moderns man.
Voice 2 is sublime. Down the road I want the Abasi set.
Such versatile pickups, they work a lot better me and my playing than EMG's did.

I give up because I am only familiar with instruments that are equipped with gold hardware from the factory and clearly the northeastern winter setting in has affected your otherwise sound judgment.

I felt bad letting you down so I took some pics of other guitars I have with gold hardware.

I really like it. I had a strandberg 8 string for a while so I’m familiar with the profile, but 8 was just a little unwieldy for me. The 7 feels great though.
They aren’t going to be for everyone, but I really do like how they “stay out of the way” and just let you play. They weigh next to nothing, balance well and set up really nice.

Only complaint is that the strings were old as shit and slightly discolored. The tag says it was inspected like 3 weeks ago so it’s a shame they left that on a fairly “premium” level instrument

How does it feel when playing in a seated position?

It feels great man. They really put a lot of thought into the design because it nearly sits at the same angle whether it’s on a strap, on my lap or between my legs classical style. And it stays put when I take my hands off the guitar.
I’d say if you like to sit classical style and you have thicc thighs like me, an angled cable may be better. I don’t notice it hitting my leg, but it looks like it should and it’s in the back of my head lol
