This pretty much demonstrates the disconnect perfectly. Im not promoting anything. Repeating facts is not promoting anything, it’s just reality. Feel free to try and connect the dots however you choose, but don’t lose track of the actual data in the process. As splawn mentioned, we went back and forth about drag story time. There have been several of them in my town, and I haven’t been to any of them. I read to my kids myself. I have no interest in them at all, nor the insufferable parents I will most likey run in to there. But that doesn’t mean I think they shouldn’t happen. They can happen, just don’t go to them. It’s simple.
Also I’m not an HVAC guy, I’ve never scolded anyone for their carbon footprint and to tie in to a previous post of yours, I havent got a covid shot since January of 2021.

But I think there is a fine line being being against them and trying to abolish them. Actually it’s not even a fine line, I think it’s pretty clear. For instance I find a big difference between not wanting your kid to go to one, and say writing a letter to the school or town or wherever condemning them for allowing them to happen.
I don’t believe for a second any children have gone to them without their parent’s knowledge and consent.
It only “affects” people that want to be part of it, so why not just leave it alone if you don’t to be part of it ya know?

I feel that way about other things so I see where you are coming from. This is one that just doesn’t bother me though.
Like here on a guitar forum, I bet a fair percentage of us grew up idolizing real life actual pedophile rock stars. It was even glamorized and glorified in mainstream music.
Yet when a handful of dudes dressed as women try and do something beneficial for kids… people get all up in arms. Most likely it’s my familiarity with people who do or have done drag that shapes my opinion of the topic. Most don’t walk around like that 24/7.
They are just “normal” people until they dress up to perform. It’s no different than Angus putting on his schoolboy outfit before a show. It’s just a character and it’s just for fun. Performers want to perform

I am conflicted because on the one hand I like freedom but not when it gets out of hand to the extent that if buggers up society (literally) like a snowball rolling down a hill. That's what I meant by they normalise it then it becomes mainstream - that's how all this deviant crap has gotten a foothold.
Even the US would draw the line if it was parents involving their children in a paedo ring. So you obviously can draw the line at some point. I'm just saying I'd be drawing the line a lot earlier.
