I see them as missionaries for the church of leftwing extremism.
I get some of that, because I believe that the “benefit” of the stories is not that the kids are necessarily learning “inclusion” and “equality” and all that. I think kids just like to hear stories and see people dress up. On the same token, I also don’t believe any kids are leaving confused or questioning their sexuality. They were just happy to have a story read to them.
So I do think that part of it is just a bunch of douchey hand wringing and an excuse for parents to brag how “progressive” they are, but also don’t really care because the kids are leaving with a positive experience.
You could expand it out to their being a “push” for the queer lifestyle to be accepted, and you would be right. Sometimes it’s annoying, but I do think it’s a good thing because from where I stand, they are equals to me. And at the end of the day, I don’t believe any children are suffering because of it
