I have a guy who is obsessed with getting his greedy mits on my property, he owns the house next door. This has been going on for 24 years when he swindled my grandpa into selling it to him after he moved the property line. Well, my grandpa died before he could sign off on the deal, so the house went to me. He's been upset ever since and mows part of my property, planted a tree there and everything he says has nothing to do with the truth... that's just the way he is. My mom planted some red raspberries near the property line and a few years later the neighbor claims HE planted them and they are HIS!! My mom about had a fit. He's also made up stories about me and tries to turn the other neighbors against me. What a great guy! Anyway, some people are eaten up with greed and he is a class A example.

Next??? :gethim:

My neighbor is a snitch, sells spy equipment, and assisted the county sheriffs in flying a drone over my property without cause. I went down and confronted all of them about it at the firehouse they were using as a base of operations but I later caught them flying another drone over my property. He's super nosy but I forgive him for being a gossip. He's from corn country so I suppose gossip is part of the lifestyle there since it is flat and treeless.

"Love your neighbor as yourself".

You got a shotgun? My land, my air…..

Unfortunately TX works a little differently than most states for cops and drones. My smart option would've been to start documenting everything and filing FOIA requests on the activities they were claiming to be using the drone for. I'd have to build a civil case against them. I'd need to get the ACLU on board to afford the legal expenses. Not sure how that'd work out.

So what are the laws about shooting drones?
Federal crime, as well as a felony in every state I can think of. Doesn’t mean I don’t think you shouldn’t be able to blast one if it is spying on you though. Best thing to do is get your own, and follow the spying drone back so you can repay the favor.
PSA : there is a 12 g round that shoots a net , designed specifically for taken down drones. Also, hanging netting in the woods around your property is a good way to deal with drone swarming when TSHTF.

The issue is in TX the police are allowed to fly drones if they are conducting a manhunt over private property or a search for missing person without receiving any permission from the property owner. I do not believe this is the case with most states. That was their justification for what they were doing, but they acted surprised when I confronted them, like i had surprised them on their training run. Since the neighbor, who sells drones, was involved, I assumed that was what was happening.. By observing the drone it was apparent there was no real search taking place.

I have terrible neighbours. They call their house "the party house". It has a loud outdoor stereo and they hold their parties outside in their back area which is directly next to my house. Every other week there's a party that thumps through my house until 3am. I have rigged up a guitar amp in my outside shed to work with sonos remotely and I blast "The Shaggs" or "Arch Enemy" at them and drown them out so they can't hear their own party - but I only do this when my next day will be ruined from lack of sleep at about 3am and it's totally clear they won't stop until dawn... The guy is a complete tool. The type of bloke who turns his stereo up over the top of his lawn mower noise so he can hear it when he mows the lawn. Complete tossers that don't know how to shut up.

I’m surprised there isn’t a noise ordinance. In most places in the US there is a timeframe, usually 10PM, where making excessive noise will result in cops showing up and shutting your shit down. Just another example I suppose of how Australia has more freedom than the US. ?

Ain't no noise ordinances out here. People party all the time in this neighborhood but if my backyard neighbor has a party he's about 300 yards down the hill side. Norteno and conjunto music doesn't bother me but if it was some kinda techno I'd probably hold a band rehearsal here the next day early.

My place is known as the "Horsepower House" due to all of the loud Mopars. Depending on what a person can tolerate, I may be a crappy neighbor to some.

If you moved next door to me I would encourage this sort of behavior. Mopars rule.

There is. Something like 10:00 on a weekday and midnight on the weekend. But if you call the police these twats just turn it back on when they go. The police are useless.
