Say what you will about WWE/WWF..... these dudes were no joke and two of the best wrestlers of the 20th century or 21st century.......

Honestly didn't realize exactly how much of a beast Kurt Angle was until I saw a documentary on him. Aside from winning a Gold Medal in the Olympics which isn't easy he did it with a broken neck and the documentary really breaks down everything. What he did shouldn't have been possible but he did it.

Also dude did a bunch of drugs and there was a dark side. It's hard to imagine on that level from an Olympic athlete but out of 8 billion people on the planet no one else really competes on that level or could push the human body to that level and it takes a toll.

Growing up too I always looked down on athletes in the Olympics or in the MLB who abused drugs or still do or have in a sense with pain killers or steroids but in another sense while I would not agree with it, these guys push their bodies to a level others don't or just can't and there really aren't other people like them or that can do what they do.

I still don't think drug abuse is acceptable in sports but on another level I can understand that for some it feels like there is no other recourse due to the level they perform and push their bodies at and the pain that may bring. No matter the pain thresholds one may have, even for the best on the planet sometimes it's just too much. Thankfully today there is more awareness with these type of issues, injury/pain and drug abuse amongst the sport and athletic community and athletes can get the help they need.

Ironman Match as well was classic between the two.

Angles sister had died the day before the match. He lost the match but damn he didn't give up till the last minute and it's like he won even though he lost.

Yup, I saw that documentary.

Say bro', you're using normal paragraphs. What happened? Did a certain monkey have an influence there?

Asking for a friend.

Anywho it's good-to-see man. Much easier to read / follow.

A little bit..... I can write normal......

Sometimes

I’ve met both Kurt and Brock back in my wrestling days in college. As a matter of fact the great Mark Schultz (84’ Olympic champ and Foxcatcher notoriety) is an old friend of mine.

I could picture your face on a bag of oatmeal. Not an insult, just an observation
Now that was a good one. Speaking of cereals I was hitting the bottle pretty hard during the pandemic. I gained a lot of weight that I’ve since lost. Wrestlers start pretty but quickly get that beat out out of them.

Because I did extremely well that summer on the cadet and Jr. teams, I had the opportunity to work out with the 88’ Olympic team at the OTC in Colorado Springs my sophomore year in HS. I also met and worked out with the late great Dave Schultz.
