It's always cool to see clips posted in RT! I have a couple of hours today (I hope) and been meaning to hook up a 6505 100 watt my buddy gifted me last weekend. believe it or not I have never actually had a chance to play with a regular old 5150/6505 before so I'm looking forward to it.

So I'm used to drum jam style, someone will post a 2 minute drum midi or wav and everyone just record their own take/riffs on it. To me that seems more like a challenge since everyone has common ground... so for this everyone just makes up whatever beats/riffs comes to mind?

Don't believe it matters tbh unless a prize were involved.

Truth be told its actually easier for me to throw a provided drum track in and just make up something real quick vs having to mess with making drums... its just a time thing for me.

@NowYou'rePlayingWithPower would you mine sharing your midi drum track with me? I havent listened to your track yet, trying to keep my mind free and clear lol. If you can post a link then I can grab it and mess around/cut it up to taste, and I agree on fresh clips 100%. If you can't thats cool too, no worries

I had fun with this one mainly cause I got to use my new to me 6505 for the first time.. shitty part was I was getting the craziest volume fluctuations the whole time I was recording.. it was pissing me off but when it wasn't blasting my ears or going too soft I was liking the tones... hoping its just a preamp tube or something.

I was carefully targeting someone for a callout (was looking at them before being banned & returning to all these challenges) I don't want to say who, but I'll make that known when I can get my rooms situated and can record fresh body slamming riffs. It's possible to clean it. I just ordered a new one from Peavey. That was a long time ago though.

It's my experience that sometimes showmanship or just a really sweet mullet sways the crowd. Chugg Norris parties out back daily, that much is clear.
