Orange TH30 overly flubby and fizzy distortion.

One issue I have is that I do love its tone on its own. Its super unique and sounds mean, but it sounds hollow and almost has no bass or treble even when the shape knob is turned. Now running it through a primarily clean amp doesnt probably help it any. It also likes to crackle and pop when just sitting without a signal so I think the tubes are shot.

Sorry, I should have said without anything but the amp directly into the Ampegs speaker output. When I add my 7 band eq in the loop it gets better then I add a distortion pedal which I eventually wanna swap with an overdrive its sounds much better. It just helps me shape my tone better.

How would an old EVM12L pair with this amp? Not the right speaker? Or does it live up to its name as the “GOAT” of all speakers?
