Just turned 51 the other day.

So the wife has heard my complaints of wanting to take some online guitar lessons and also have the ability to record.

She purchased me a 10th gen iPad 256 gig, Motu M2 and set of Beyer DT990 Pro phones.

Pretty sure I have an old 57 laying around somewhere…

Shit playing clips coming, haha.
Honestly, I realize this isn’t a perfect set up, but I’m excited to start having the opportunity to record again.

I used to use GarageBand probably 20 years ago when I had an eMac. Will take a little to get reacquainted, but I’m sure it will come back.

I haven’t used recording gear since Protools schooling 15 years ago.

My buddy turned me onto the M2. Can’t wait to dive in. He mentioned he likes using Logic so I may check that out.

Can’t find the mic I thought I still had, so I won’t be able to mic my cab yet.

Well I gotta say the Motu and GarageBand were easier to navigate around than I thought they would be.
Had a lot of fun just going thru the available amps and effects.
Getting some buzz, learned I gotta turn down the gain!
I can see this being really cool for online lessons as well as recording clips.

I would have played with it more, but with the nice weather the moto needed an oil and filter change and a shifter adjustment (new work boots are a little higher in the toe) as well as some after winter exercise.
