Jeffers Morning, Pal!🤣🤣🤣

Would you mind pointing me to the direction of the alternate reality in which any era of Death sounds remotely like any era of Mastodon?
If you can't hear it, then you don't have an ear.

Or you didn't listen to early Mastodon.

It's right there in the first track of the album I selected. It's in the guitar harmony lines ...and in the drum feel. It's cool though, I know my shit.

👍

Care to provide a link to some Mastodon so we can all compare?

While I love all the Death albums, I tend to prefer the earlier stuff, more fore the vocal style, Leprosy is my favorite.
I love them all as well, especially Spiritual Healing--more for nostalgic reasons, but Leprosy, Scream Bloody Gore, and Sound Of Perseverance are my favorites for the vocals and guitar. Like any shooting star (Chuck, Jimmy, Jim Morrison many many others) hard to imagine wear they would have taken things.

Spiritual Healing album has Death's best solos easily. Love Leprosy, but glad Chuck went with a non whammy guy in Murphy
