Americans are usually good people. But they just elected an idiot who is a weak and and fragile person who has to start wars with his allies in order to make him feel just a little bit bigger. It's pretty pathetic and I hope in four years things change...for the better.

The reason for the tariffs are pretty stupid. Didn't Trump sign the USMCA deal in his last term. So basically he made a bad deal if the US is losing out on the trade deal? The tariffs are sure working like a charm alright...for other countries. As America becomes more isolated it will be weakened and it's position in the world and will become less effective and more vulnerable to attacks thanks to your dear cult leader.

So I get to watch as your country goes down the tubes...just like Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka and all of Trump's casinos the way them businesses failed. Everything Trump touches dies. What does it matter what happens beyond your borders. If it's that much of a big deal, all that says is Canada is too reliant on the US for it's stability.
We can play nice with you guys up north since we're neighbors. But when it comes down to it Americans couldn't give two shits about what happens in your politics. It doesn't really affect us. We have a stable enough country that we're not dependent on what happens in other nations; and now we're only making it even more stable.
You may call it isolation ourselves from the rest of the world. What we're actually doing is becoming more self reliant. Of course we'll still keep relations and open trade with other nations. But when shit hits the fan in those other nations and they destabilize even more than the already are, we won't go down with them. We'll be more than self sufficient where it will barely make a ripple.
