Larry Clips?

of course the cab has a huge impact, still don't hear the recto throaty nature (this is the rectos good part). but i also don't hear the rectos fizzy nature (a good thing/rectos bad part but can sound good) and it's way tighter (there i am 50/50), which i am sure you like. i like the recto for what it is, but it's easy to make it sound bad. If i want THE Recto Sound i get a Recto. But i already had 7, or so :D
The Lenz is a highly modded 4 Gain Stage Recto with some voicing options. "Attack" (which wasn't pulled) changes the Negative Feedback to kinda Recto-Modern. Tubes are still TungSol EL34.

nice, best one so far (first half)!(y)
nice crisp top end not (still bright enough and not fizzy like the recto), and now i clearly hear some throat!
lil less gain and it would be even better, but i am more hard rock than metal.

yes, headphones (almost always).

Thanks. ;) I like both. I used a different Mic Position this time. I have 2 go-tos: Inside the Dust-Cab left side of the SM57 just inside where the seam is and the other is angled towards (almost) the center an inch apart from the grille cloth
