A religion that has killed hundreds of thousands of people (millions?) throughout history while hiding and excusing child molestation (at least in recent times) now has an American leader. How is that something to celebrate? This, and the hypocrisy of “religious” people, some on this board, that have zero tolerance for any viewpoint but their own, is why I don’t give a flying fuck about organized religion. I feel like everyone was born with an understanding that you should treat others with respect and dignity to expect the same. If you don’t get it? Move on. Spoiler alert, some people are dicks (some on this board). I don’t need an oft-translated fairy tale to coerce me along the straight and narrow and I don’t need to throw dollars into a wooden bowl on a weekly basis while professing my adoration for an invisible sky zombie to know right from wrong. Treating people how they should be treated is not rocket surgery. I don’t need guidance to understand that.

To be clear, that’s my take, I don’t post much in this area and I have no desire (or the time) to argue the points. I will certainly read, respect and consider the comments, but I don’t have the time y’all do to hang out here all day for a “back and forth”. Just getting that out to avoid the “troll” label 😀.

YMMV and that’s the beauty of freedom of religion. You be you 👍
