Does the 50 watt JVM have the bias turn knob on the back of the amp like the DSL?

It's interesting that those JVM tones are totally usable for aggressive metal but yet everyone is conditioned to run to 5150/6505's or Diezels and to 800's for boosted cock rock. The 800 and smoother mids though but moral of the story is that anything is usable if you know how to mic it.

I'm calling it it now. We're entering a new period in gear history known as the "JVM revival" and its epoch is now, May 29th 2025. Better snag one before the prices triple.

You guys are welcome to them 🙂

I had a JVM and dug it and sounded great. I wish it had external bias points like my 5150-III stealth did when I had it. Was so convenient and safe.

digitaljams tried to tell everyone here way back in the day that the JVM was an all-in-one killer amp. Nails high gain, rock, clean and edge of break up, it's one of the few perfect Mashall amps right out of the box. He was right this whole time.

I've been dialing mine in now for about 3 weeks...Trying it with different guitars, different volumes. etc. I'm no stranger to high-end, boutique amps and I will say, if you have a traditional Marshall itch that needs scratching...This thing may be the ticket, and it's incredibly versatile to boot.

The jvm sounds amazing to me at bed room level . But playing with drums it would not open up and roar like when my JCM 2000 does . I can’t believe they don’t update it and bring the true Marshall type thing that opens up . But ya I loved my jcm . They can record great

My JCM2000 DSL had a bit more of that classic Marshall vibe, but I strongly prefer the JVM so far I have to say. But to your point, I am playing at home at moderate volume levels. The master volume is very well tapered, and I can get really nice, upper-mid high-gain grind out of this thing at low volumes. OD1 orange and OD2 red are killer for hard rock and more traditional metal.

very pleased with my JVM410H, as I am with my other Marshall's: 1959x, JCM 900 Mode; 2100 SL-X, Origin 50, DSL40CR.

and my non-Marshall Marshalls: Bogner Helios Eclipse 100, Engl Artist Edition 100 E651.

Wow. The JVM killed it. I wasn't too surprised though. Having a TSL makes me want to get one of these. How does the JVM compare to a TSL? High gain wise?
