The 800 sounded like he needed to use the tight switch.Great video...I posted this a few days back as well. Interesting see an amp that can be picked up used around $1,000 performing better (to my ears) than a $3,200 boutique "mod" series trophy amplifier.
No, it has them inside the chassis.Does the 50 watt JVM have the bias turn knob on the back of the amp like the DSL?
I recently acquired a JMV410H and can tell you I like it way more than I thought I would.I liked the JVM more than I thought I would.
You guys are welcome to themI'm calling it it now. We're entering a new period in gear history known as the "JVM revival" and its epoch is now, May 29th 2025. Better snag one before the prices triple.
I've been dialing mine in now for about 3 weeks...Trying it with different guitars, different volumes. etc. I'm no stranger to high-end, boutique amps and I will say, if you have a traditional Marshall itch that needs scratching...This thing may be the ticket, and it's incredibly versatile to boot.digitaljams tried to tell everyone here way back in the day that the JVM was an all-in-one killer amp. Nails high gain, rock, clean and edge of break up, it's one of the few perfect Mashall amps right out of the box. He was right this whole time.
My JCM2000 DSL had a bit more of that classic Marshall vibe, but I strongly prefer the JVM so far I have to say. But to your point, I am playing at home at moderate volume levels. The master volume is very well tapered, and I can get really nice, upper-mid high-gain grind out of this thing at low volumes. OD1 orange and OD2 red are killer for hard rock and more traditional metal. The jvm sounds amazing to me at bed room level . But playing with drums it would not open up and roar like when my JCM 2000 does . I can’t believe they don’t update it and bring the true Marshall type thing that opens up . But ya I loved my jcm . They can record great
