The funny thing is: I didn't.I have never owned a Diezel but I liked Vh4, definitely dry and punchy. I want to get the latest Herbert at some point, I like what I’ve heard from it.

To the VH4?Do Jason's (Ground Zero Amps guru) Negative Feed Back mod and thank me later.
Here are two old Clips from me, with a 2010 (i think) Model:all i wanted to say, for me it's the VHX and therefore more VH4 than the herbert (still have have my herbert though), so i think it was good choice. guessing from your octane etc. clips you will like the bright switch...
there is stuff i love about them and stuff regulary turned me crazy. They get overly fuzzy and muddy with heavy strings or with downtuning (or dark/fat guitars in general) pretty quick! just cut some lowend+lowmids with an EQ pedal infront and it's still beafier than your typical Marshall.
since using a highpass infront, i haven't had a "bad amp day".
i am a straight in guy (i mean pedals, not foreplay and condoms) kind of guy, very stubborn and reluctant to try an EQ in front.
well since trying the EQ i can dial everything out, that regulary turned me crazy with the Diezels
You recognise who it is?Not exactly what i'm looking for.![]()
No, but now that you say it, it's probably Peter Diezels old Band. You recognise who it is?
yeah, that's how i hear it too.Part of the diezel sound is a soft top end. Like a low pass filter that’s always there.
Can’t use treble and presence to bring it back either
Guys wanting that high end articulation either don’t like diezel’s or they blend with a Marshall for example to get it back that way
Well I have Larry , 2 Hermansons ,2 wizards mark 3++ greenie and more . But vh4 is a different beast than these and staysActually i don't know all your Amps.
Herbert’s are amazing . I have a truck that makes tight af and just totsThe funny thing is: I didn't.
Love them too ! @Omnipotent1 came over tonight and played my amps . He was shocked by my vh4 . He loved it .Love em. They only work for certain things, but if that sound works for you, it works for you.

Def . My ears are shot tonight lol .They're killer man. I think they're one of those amps where people try to make it be a marshall, or make it be a boogie, but its a VH4 and you just have to roll with it and let it be what it is
I’ve heard so many mixed reviews on the Diezel VH4 over the years I didn’t even know what to expect. Tech gave me the opportunity to plug in & I’ll say I haven’t had anything punch me in the chest like that.Love them too ! @Omnipotent1 came over tonight and played my amps . Thanks. I already thought about canceling the order again. IDK.I’ve heard so many mixed reviews on the Diezel VH4 over the years I didn’t even know what to expect. Tech gave me the opportunity to plug in & I’ll say I haven’t had anything punch me in the chest like that. You always hear people explain amps being percussive in the attack & feel.. Well that thing brings the freakin kick drum lol I could see it reshaping the way you write music from the tone & response. Tech had that thing dialed in tho.. I definitely preferred it running his pedal chain through the front end..
HUGE difference. Take his advice & I bet you’ll be happy. I approve of the VH4 & officially plan to add one to my line up.
Congrats on the buy @SimonDorn I hope you enjoy it
Thank you @Techdeath for the opportunity & experienceNow sell me that Diezel!

I guess this is a good representation of how they sound:
