Gibson haters……..

Or guys that have discovered Japanese craftsmanship after years of being a Gibson snob…

Yep...

I don't hate Gibson. I own a SG and V. But for the money, there are too many flaws.

The Japanese have surpassed them by a large mile .. as have many American builders (Suhr, in my case)...

Don't hate or love Gibson, just not my first choice. when I was a kid I purchased my first real guitar, a new 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom in black and gold, sold it several years later and moved on.

I have a Gibson '61 SG Standard I purchased new last year; it's nice, the QC was better than I expected.

I have an Epi Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Les Paul SG Custom with Maestro Vibrola that I purchased new last year; it's nice, the QC was better than I expected.

Neither is better or worse than the other.

I've tried many Gibson Les Pauls over the years too; for a two humbucker, hardtail, classic rock guitar my choice is Ibanez PS10, I haven't found Gibson LP I like more than the PS10.

Yeah, I'm kind of lost on what would be a good Gibson substitute that has a contoured body shape like a Strat. Love the sustain of the Gibson, but I need something more comfortable on the stomach / ribs.

I love a nice Gibson but I can take the Agnesi out of the equation by buying an Edwards instead and swapping in used Gibson pickups when mark isn't watching.

Just joking…not a Gibson fan, but it’s cool. I can see why people like them, body shape just not for me.

Have started to learnt that an actual gibsons are the historics less the original 1950s era of your a millionaire ....

Same goes to heritage if ya want a better sounding LP getta Customcore for slightly less than cost of a new Historics...

Gotta play a Gibson before you buy. Frustrating for many but true all the same. If I'm gonna drop $3k+ for an instrument, it's worth a few hours drive.

I have 16 guitars, 7 are Gibsons and I love em all. Cause I played a ton before I chose them.

I’ll admit to laziness earlier in not just posting this shot.

I do think my 1981 Victory MV2 has lived a good life, plays and sounds great, and is probably the only Gibson I will ever own, unless a mystical Firebird I shows up that I like.

Took years and years of playing various Gibsons until I found the one for me. After finding 'The One', I get the hype. Nothing can sound and feel the way this guitar can.

I have some fancier Japanese LP copies (Navigator and top line Tokai and Crews/Terada) and while their fit and finish is spectacular, I just prefer the sound of Gibson Historics. Something about them is just less clinical.

I’m willing to bet my net worth is 10x yours

I've heard that you have more bread than a prison meatloaf.

I’m willing to bet my net worth is 10x yours

And I'm willing to bet I'm 10x better at guitar than you

I’m willing to bet my net worth is 10x yours

In fact, ill bet YOUR entire net worth
