Got a temp ban on TGP

Some dude @ Seymour Duncan forum [which is a great place to figure out mystery pups and such] kept posting threads about
the awesome virtues of his $200 chibson. It went on for weeks and others joined in to the point it was just F-ing annoying.
I just completely lost my appetite for that place. Haven't been back since.
Some real dumbasses just like marshall forum.
 
I had a similar situation on a different forum, difference being that someone made a remark saying they are boycotting American companies due to current situations. I asked “what situations might those be??”

The reply was something along the lines of “we can’t discuss this here.” Making it appear as if everyone silently disapproves of Americans in the form of unwritten rule, no contest.

Had I said the same gesture regarding Chinese companies, I probably would have been banned

Yeah honestly what is up with all the Pro-Chinese, Anti-American, Pro Communist remarks at TGP that go on and arent considered political by the moderators......


Yet non political discussion like science or basic maths or simple conversations regarding nature or the mention of a country in this case all of a sudden are considered political.....



Its pretty Anti-American, Pro-China, Pro-Communism aside from the usual WoKe bullshitery at TGP, they really have taken The Gear Page to a whole new level and the forum has never been more extreme or more political........


The moderators and the usual average WokeMerica Member there arent fooling anyone :dunno:

Kind of backwards, actually. It used to be the internet was a free-for-all and people would say all kinds of crazy things that they would never say in real life. Now days I can say way worse things at the work place or around people I know (in person) and usually not get in too much trouble
 
I mean can @Scott Auld or anyone else who moderates at TGP and is a member here at Rig-Talk explain the Pro-Chinese, Pro-Communist, Anti-American politics at TGP and other Woke Jackassery other than for what it is :dunno:

Why does a website on the internet need to be pro American politics?

You have the whole internet as a playground and you’re complaining about a spec of dust on the ground you can’t even see.

I think in general, guitar and music forums (maybe) are aging out. I suspect 90%+ of our members here are 40+ years old, and we're not seeing an influx of eighteen to forty year olds.

I think the genX'ers are the last gear generation, and as the boomers age out, we're going to see more gear for sale, and less people around gear forums.

I dunno but a bunch of tool bags over at the only other forum I visit went into praise China when I noted that communists can't innovate anything, they just steal designs. It turned into three or four pages of a bunch of fat, soft lefty euro toolbags singing China's praises about their amazing ability to innovate production blah blah. Yeah, based on stolen designs. I couldn't help but notice how a year ago they were squeaking about Ukraine and how evil "communist" russia is but it's like they've become bots themselves now bowing down to a nation that kills christians, muslims, and feng shui believers and steals their organs. Buncha droids.

This is why I am on political and religious forums...to talk about guitars and amps.

Unfortunately these kids dont know anything, yet seem to think they know everything...:dunno:
 
I guess any privately owned internet forum can dictate their own rules, and if you don't like those rules, it's easy enough to just not go there. Problem solved.

However, in my experience, TGP does not discriminate one way or the other. I got a week ban for making a reference to Captain Yamtits. I mentioned that if something is orange, you can just wipe off the orange and it will be pasty white underneath. Seriously. I got a week long ban for THAT!
