I know it’s not music related but I don’t give a toss. Port is jacked on my grandson’s XboxS. It only has one hdmi out. Anybody ever change one out?

I never have, but have watched enough videos on it that, if I had a hot air station, I'd take a shot. Good quality liquid flux, the station, a magnifying glass type thing so you could see the small stuff and get to work. It looks easy, just requires the right tools.

Luckily we had a spare Xbox…lol… how does that happen. I’m going to order a hot air system off Amazon and an HDMI port as well. Fuck taking an old tv apart to get one. I will let you know how it goes…lol… what could go wrong

guy I worked with a few years back use to fix TV's he would find left for trash and resell them on Craigslist and Marketplace ..... he told me 98 % of the fixes were the protection diodes that people would fry plugging the wrong power supply into them .
30 minutes of time to replace maybe 1.00 in parts ..... and boom list that sucker for half for what it goes for new .... it's gone in less than a few days
he ran into a bunch that were barely a year old ... crazy .... but I get it .... TV no work ... you never filled out the warranty ... right out on the sidewalk

I have seen TONS of videos of Xbox/PS hdmi ports failing and needing replacement. I'd say it's likely due to kids just cramming and yanking the cables out because they don't value shit, even if they pay for it.Luckily we had a spare Xbox…lol… how does that happen.
