The first time our bassist met my mother, she asked him, “why don’t you guys play music people would want to hear?”
that's the most intelligent thing you ever posted. Im beginning to like you ..........Since the early 1970's i never got negative comments about my playing [which has only gotten better] until the last 15 yrs on guitar forums.
And everytime im criticized the offender never offers an example of their own playing.

Back in the 90's my band released our 1st CD. We had a contact phone number listed in the liner notes. Lead singer and I lived together and one day we found a message on our answering machine (drunken female) "Y'alls music sucks!"
Sucks to get wasted DURING a gig, it always sneaks up on you.I’ve been out of the game for years now (no complaints), but a couple of takeaways…
1) You’re “PA” sounds better than any other band in the area”. True story. I bought and built our sound system and our sound guy ran monitor mixes for professional touring acts. We had at least 24 mics in play any given night for a 5 piece cover band in 150+ seat generic bars. 12,000 watts out front (QSC) peeling paint…
2) “You're solo on that last song sucked” (from the bass player in another local band). He was right. A guy I worked with bought the band 6 rounds of Jaeger Bombs (the whites trash elixir) in the first set and I didn’t pass on any of them. I have no recollection of that gig whatsoever…
Psy Trance rules.Sorry, I was into EDM at the time.

We had one dude that would always yell “fuck your radio shit!” everytime we played this song because it had “a clean part” lol
