I ran into those White Fangs while installing a Het Set in a buddies guitar .... there was a few in the box

fell in love with them .....

I've got some custom Picks from Purple Plectrums I like a lot ... big fat thick ones ...

Played with JazzIIIs for ages and couple of years ago changed to 1.5mm Dunlop delrins.

Various Dunlop Flow models are striking my fancy of late.

I'm glad I'm a bassist. I never drop my pics, and they double as sex toys.

...Well, two of them do at least.
Funnily enough, I never used picks when playing bass until the last few years. Some tracks/sounds need it and boy can it really save my fingers!

It took me years to play guitar with a pick, as I played bass for several years before ever picking up a 6 string.

Kinda wish I never did use a pick, as I only did it because others said I had to and never out of any type of playing difficulty. I used to pick in the same style as Mancuso.

Anyway, picks can rock on a bass but I am also a finger man, as yourself.

You only use 2?? Maybe I have been doing it wrong. For bass I have always used three and for the other....well....

I mostly play guitar with no pick. I guess because I started out on bass at 8 or 9 years old. In my last band I played bass with a pick a lot because it’s what the songs needed. So ironically I was playing bass with a pick and guitar with my fingers.

Life can be funny like that.

But how would you metal without a pick? 🤔
