Yep, can't play Roundabout with fingers...Funnily enough, I never used picks when playing bass until the last few years. Some tracks/sounds need it and boy can it really save my fingers!
It took me years to play guitar with a pick, as I played bass for several years before ever picking up a 6 string.
Kinda wish I never did use a pick, as I only did it because others said I had to and never out of any type of playing difficulty. I used to pick in the same style as Mancuso.
Anyway, picks can rock on a bass but I am also a finger man, as yourself.
You only use 2?? Maybe I have been doing it wrong. For bass I have always used three and for the other....well....
They're Ultex.Aren’t they Tortex?
Sorry, I was replying to @stephen sawall about GC picksThey're Ultex.
I wear down the sharp end faster than Tortex.
Oh no...not being able to play someone else's music....Yep, can't play Roundabout with fingers...
Squire has a unique picking technic which I inadvertently picked up myself long before I ever listened to Yes much less became a Yes fanatic. I kinda hold the pick sideways and strike the string With the side of the pick and the meat of my thumb at the same time.Yep, can't play Roundabout with fingers...
Yes I believe they are Tortex. They sit between the yellow and orange Dunlop. Closer to the yellow.Sorry, I was replying to @stephen sawall about GC picks
White Fangs I know about. You should try Tortex Flows, JIII XL and TIII if you wear Tortex better for similiar shape
