It's so sad that incompetence bring so much pain to people.

But, I guess they keep voting for it or maybe just like NYC millions of votes are not legit.

that area was/is very charming like pasadena, palisades, etc. those rolling hills and tree lined outskirts of LA had a different more peaceful vibe.

Very sad to see that happen to many good people, who I'm sure didn't vote for the inept government that has been implemented there.

I'm sure the developers are chomping at the bit to get land at one time worth multi-millions of dollars for a fraction of that. At least FIRE is covered for those that still had insurance on their properties.

Terry was also a very good player in his own right.

Yeah. Altadena was beautiful. I can't wrap my mind around what it looks like now, even after watching the video. My wife and I almost got a house there, but we decided to move up here in the mountains instead.

Fucking insurance company cancelled his homeowner's policy a few weeks before the fire, and that happened to a lot of people there. From what I understand, there may be a big class action lawsuit.

He's an awesome guitarist.

I thought so…poor guy. Still a ton of people without homes in North Carolina but it’s not mentioned ever. Shame on us….

Yeah, it's a travesty that so many people in North Carolina and Arkansas aren't being helped. It pisses me off bigtime.

And most of those people had no flood insurance because those areas have never flooded prior to that hurricane storm....all of those people in Appalachia are just shit out of luck, literally.

I'm a Democrat and I think Karen Bass is a joke as a Mayor. Well, at least jokes are funny. Nothing funny about the way she handled that disaster.

They should sue the state of California for letting the insurance companies cancel policies without having another carrier buy up those policies. Now that situation is directly caused by the state and local governments ineptitude so the people should sue them as well in class action because they knew what the insurance companies were going to do long before these fires.

Yeah. It's a damn nightmare for those people. I've watched videos of the aftermath in that area and it's just horrible, man.

These people need help, and that's exactly the kind of situation I want my tax dollars to go to: helping people.

I haven't followed the aftermath of the insurance situation, so I don't know any specifics, but I think I read about the state going after some of the insurers.

Happens around here a lot. When that straight line tornado hit us in July years ago there were people that had no power till around Christmas if not longer.

there should be a story on some of the priceless audio/musical gear lost from the fires with so many in Altadena and Palisades/Malibu being in the entertainment industry and having home studios. can’t imagine all the storied guitars, amps, studio gear, and even souvenirs, photos and art of the stars that were lost.

We just had an F-3 tornado in april winds clocked @ 162mph blocks from our house.
3rd tornado in our area this year. I think next time i'll be hunkered down in the hallway with my wife instead of gawking out the front door.
Its getting harder to have a "normal" life.
