Do you not know the whole performance was auto tuned for the video stream which had a 2 hour delay?Crazy as he sounded great at his final concert
Eddie did........Not Randy -- Randy would never use Ibanez.
Divine IommiventionHave been on vacation and am now just hearing about this.
Well, not much to say other than thank goodness it's not Tony.
To bad that couldn't have done something about Zakk, lord just got done listening to his set again with Ozzy and his playing is almost unbearable for me at this point.Do you not know the whole performance was auto tuned for the video stream which had a 2 hour delay?
Look up some phone shot video's if you wanna hear the real performance.....That said, I'm glad the auto tuned performance exists, it does sound good.
Wait, are you saying the bass playing on Diary doesn't stand out? Daisley puts on a master class of bass playing on both Blizzard and Diary. On Diary alone listen to SATO, Little Dolls, Over the Mountain, hell all of it. Brilliant. And it's not hard because it's litrally jacked up in the mix. He's the glue on those albums. In fact for me, it's Bob's watermark. I just commented on how incredible it was the other day in another thread. If a kid came up and ask me about learning bass I'd start with Bob on those two albums and pick your choice of Robert DeLeo or Geddy. Bob was a fantastic lyricist as well, in many ways Ozzy and Sharon's real lyrical genius through the many of his albums. Too bad they never paid him what he's worth. And too bad we never got to hear him work with Randy's music again.Believer has a cool bass riff. Other than that I struggle to recall any bass playing on the album that stands out… it’s all about the guitar and vocals. The performances on Tribute are better than the album tracks anyway, and those are with Rudy and Tommy.
Randy Rhoads? Possibly the greatest of his kind. Bob Daisley? Good work with Ozzy throughout the 80s. Honestly the fact that you’re overlooking that Bob wrote BATM, Ultimate Sin and NRFTW says a lot here. As great as you say he is, it seems like the biggest factor for you is Randy not Bob. So why argue Bob is some sort of secret genius when you write off over half his work with Ozzy?
The first two were all killer no filler. After that, not so much…Wait, are you saying the bass playing on Diary doesn't stand out? I like most of Ozzy's album up to Ozzmosis and there is some fantastic stuff on all of them but nothing as epic sounding as those first two albums, they were just different "compositionally". Really none of the albums can be compared to those two in terms of that. Not saying every Ozzy fan should say those are the best, that's completely subjective to the listener but nothing he did afterwards ever sounded like them. Anyway, maybe I'm misreading this.
In there between Bob DeLeo and Geddy I would throw Steve Harris giving a "Master class" on Piece of Mind as well.Wait, are you saying the bass playing on Diary doesn't stand out? My band used to do that song back in the day too!
There are a lot of great Bass players. In there between Bob DeLeo and Geddy I would throw Steve Harris giving a "Master class" on Piece of Mind as well.

Ever listen to the lead singer and bassist for level 42? That guy is a killer bassist.
