Loomis C-7 w/ EMG 81-7 > GZ Tremoverb > 2003 Mesa os 4x12
Again one track of SM57 and one SM7b
Effects were from L6 Helix

Inform me on how to get a crisper high end without it immediately becoming insanely harsh lol

On my GZ Trem Recto the Reverb knob has a major effect on the highs and the speed/tremolo has a minor effect so between those and the presence/treble I can get the perfect brightness/articulation/cut without being harsh.

That sounds incredible, fantastic playing and congrats on the amp!

I'd been playing mine boosted the last 8 months but finally tried it straight in not too long ago and was so impressed I haven't used a boost since. Such an insanely juicy, uniquely saturated gain structure with the perfect recto grit/filth but with much more articulation, faster tracking, and tightness.

I’m pretty sure Jeremy removes the tremolo/reverb entirely in his 2025 rectifier mods as it effect the signal chain

Typo in my original post...I meant I can get the perfect high end because of the way the Reverb and Trem-speed interact with the circuit. I love the effect it has on this amp to be honest.

Now that's what I'm talking about @Holy-diver

It has a ballin' Solway Firth vibe to it.

I wouldnt change anything about that tone!

Same

Don't know anything about this amp buy you can always try the treble on zero / crank the pres trick. Or maybe some different preamps in V1 or V6

I should mention it’s not the amp, I have a hard time micing to where I get the sizzle without it being too harsh, with all my amps. It’s easy using IRs 😂 I’ll try to do a couple more tonight with the Suhr RL and compare

Are you saying with the Reverb and Tremolo off their settings enhance the tone, or with them on?

The way they interact on my amp is that speed & tremolo darken the tone in the off position and brighten as you turn each knob up. These two knobs have a mild effect but definitely noticeable. The Reverb knob acts the same, off is dark and as you turn it up it dramatically brightens the tone. The impact of the reverb knob is dramatic.
