Fired the amp up last night. Such a great feeling when, after all that work, countless solder connections and wiring, it starts up and works 100% right off the bat.
I always do an initial start up with a scope connected. And then set all internal voltages to my personal specs. Then play test it.
This particular amp will be the very first going out into the wild with my all new Add-a-Clean PCB clean channel system. It’s two PCB’s that contain a complete clean channel preamp, with built in filtering and switching relay. It also features a separate PCB for the pots and tone stack. It has a full EQ, Bass, Mid and Treble, as well as a 3 way bright switch. It’s an amazing sounding clean.
I haven’t officially announced it yet, so this is sort of a sneak preview of the Add-a-Clean. It’s designed to fit in limited space and works absolutely flawlessly. I’m very proud of this one, and the Add-a-Stage. They are making my builds cleaner, quieter and more reliable. I’ll make a separate thread on the AAC with an install and demo video this week.
Congrats to @grimmchaos , this is a killer amp with tons of versatility and great tone. I’m really happy that he will put it to good use. I know it’ll be used live very soon.
