Neo-soul “jokes”. Or, how unfunny people ruin a place.

I suppose it's more infuriating watching others join in the fun while sitting on the sidelines with your arms folded. More so when people here have actually gotten on the wagon buying JAMES TYLER and PRS guitars. Careful how you approach this or the shit might start growing on you too.
I like both those guitars. Tried a Tyler in HK that was absolutely amazing. I have no issue with them. Just gets tiring seeing every thread get the same thing mentioned. Or opening the forum and seeing endless shit new topics to have to sift through.

Now you know how anyone under 50 feels about Van Halen threads, lol.

I’m under 50 and prefer the EVH threads. At least they are trying to discuss something. Not clog the page up. And this is coming from someone who MAINLY posts jokes and useless crap. Just try and keep it fresh man. Stop beating dead horses.

I think some people have the idea that only metal can be discussed here but then they get mad about the cookie monster vocals. Can't win, lol.
I play more blues in real life live situations than the metal I record at home. So, nope. Not the issue.

So whose clogging the page up with anti Neo Soul threads today like they planned a group attack through PM's?

TBH I made a couple threads and other members ran with it to have fun. I'll stop beating dead horses when you stop being a killjoy.

Definitely no planned attack or a PMs with anyone. I don’t have any relationships on here. Just shared my opinion. No further thread creations will be made about it. (If I just kept making threads and comments about it, that would get tired!)

I have met some really great people through here. One of them named @Smash came to a gig I had and we got to hang after and have free beers. Cool, chill guy with a love for bikes, guitars, music. Another guy I met here has serious industry knowledge. Another guy is converting to the same church. Another guy hooked me up with a radio station to spin my album. Etc etc. I can't say enough about how many good people frequent this place. And then one guy introduced me to other members they vouched for. I recently had the pleasure of chatting with @sandman who traded a PRS and then bought a JAMES TYLER, lol. Don't let the fear of catastrophe prevent you from reaching out to the people you share like interests with is all I can say but each person will have different thoughts on that I guess.

I had a blast listening to clips from that other rippin thread. I think I subbed like 4 or 5 YT channels from that thread.

What's weird is I used to hate PRS and JAMES TYLER with a fury but something snapped inside me one day and now I been GAS'ing a good bit to own one of each someday, especially if PRS makes a ten top 335. I even bought a spaceman pedal a month or so ago. I wake up in the morning, look in the mirror and say to myself "what the hell happened to you dude?"

Embrace it, just embrace it, let the love of tone take its course!

Things that make me jealous as someone stuck in Australia 97867301837. So much more happening in the US. So many more people and subcultures, etc. Not so much a fan of the gun violence, but let’s not go there. Perhaps if I get back to the US again sometime soon I’ll hit some people up or try and be at an amp fest. I love amps, and there are many more available in the US.

As for Tyler, the one I played recently was a masterpiece. I played all the super high end guitars in store and it was somehow a step above to me. Probably also because it just felt comfortable. But very, very nice guitar. And had the thing that I need these days that PRS, ESP and other great guitars don’t do… stainless steel frets.

Seems like Australia has a lot to love but I can't afford to take that trip. I would love to go to the outback someday and then drive to Perth. @Thumbpicker offered to put me up for a few days in NSW (lol j/k about that but he's a good sport).

@mentoneman loves his Tyler and I know @sandman couldn't resist once he laid hands on them. I bought an LTD Viper Deluxe 1000 this year and it plays phenomenally, has stainless frets but through my Twin the tone has left a little to be desired which has kind of been a disappointment. Thinking about trying to trade for a PRS se hollowbody ii. I haven't found the right pickup combo for the Viper yet. I just installed a super distortion in the bridge and a leftover Seth in the neck (not my ideal but it filled the hole) and need to test it but my main amp is down at a bandmate's place cause we've been rehearsing every week for a bluesfest next month and I don't wanna carry it back and forth.
