It's been moving so far left, so quickly, that everyone who USED to be on the left and hasnt changed their views is rapidly moving right. I don't think Dan understands the reality - that eventually it will come for him, too - just like it comes for everyone.
And that's the reason why the cultural momentum and opinion is shifting against it so quickly
The whole idea that charlie kirk was an "extremist" in all these post shooting videos is really telling - he was like the middle of the road, basic republican platform stuff, and the shifting left wing extremism is most likely the reason for the assassination in the first place

I think a general statement would be that to be extreme, left or right, is the expectation of legislating your opinions. It’s ok to have them, but laws for the entire country should not be founded upon them. if that makes any sense.

To further extrapolate, I think to be “far right” (or left) can hair as often be referring to a viewpoint as it is to a person.
Hopefully thumbpicker doesn’t mind me using him as an example, but he is someone I have known for a long time and I find him to be a very intelligent and compassionate person. A great dude imo.
I personally would say his views on homosexuality/trans people are very far right, however I would not consider him as a person to be far right.
