Presenting the American Series Rhoads Feat. Jeff Loomis & Brandon Ellis | Jackson Guitars

I'm a big guy, so I never could get away with a Jackson Rhodes (looks like a toy hanging in me)...But there is something really "deadly" looking about that offset V shape, particularly with the reverse headstock.

Yeah, I'd prefer the regular headstock and something other than a JB in the bridge.
Yeah, that too. An SH-6 would have been a good choice, but I believe RR used the JB/Jazz combo for the most part, if we're being true to RR.
I just get tired of this cookie cutter combo. I'm not a JB fan at all, really, and it's in the majority of most everything out there that comes with Duncans. Though, Jackson uses the SH-6 in the Pro Series King V, and of course Charvel uses the SH-6 in the SoCal.

I don't like the JB in the Soloist, either. I think they should have gone SH-6 for that, and keep the JB for the Virtuoso. Of course you've got an EMG model Soloist, if that's your thing.

I have an X Series Rhoads in Snow White with pinstripes and maple board (and two others, satin black, and gloss black with yellow bevels), neck thru, Duncan Blackouts, painted neck, reverse headstocks....

other wise this MIA Rhoads in Snow White gloss would be inducing GAS.

Ellis is likely in the newly relaunched Nevermore
He's a sick fuck. I love me some Loomis, but Ellis has been climbing that ladder to being one of the best around. He's insane, and has an incredible vibrato. Really digs in.

Agreed. A solid mix of old and new school approach to his playing. Much more feel than most of the new guys.
