Autism is now in epidemic proportions, a bigger problem than it has ever been. There has to be a connection with common intake of SOMETHING fairly recent.Tylenol, inventor of the tamper-proof cap and made by the worldwide conglomerate that is Johnson & Johnson, will be a Battle Royale, can't wait to see how it unfolds but I suspect it will be entirely up to consumers....i.e. don't buy.
Many drug and big pharma arguments here spell it out: if you can live without it, don't buy it and put it in your body.

also heard various vaccines have autism risks, as well as chemicals / dyes in processed foods....

my non-expert guess is there are several contributors from many sources, and some people are genetically more sensitive to these sources.

When I was a kid and through college, I don't remember anyone with a peanut or nut allergy, or lactose intolerance... There was one person I vaguely recall had some allergy to certain seafood, and that's it... now it seems many have food allergies.

Sad. Now some pregnant women are supposedly being defiant and responding by taking or abusing Tylenol, just because they hate Trump.

If true, that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Bye bye to their livers …

I became more aware of autism (yes, I've used the term Retard before) when my grandson was born with it and diagnosed at about 3 YO. In my limited knowledge I blamed it on my daughter's drinking during pregnancy and that was that UNTIL all other sources were revealed in recent years. I do believe a link was made years ago with pregnancy alcohol consumption but other aspects are now under scrutiny.
BTW this grandson is such a wonderful loving person, I can only hope other autistic kids can turn out as well.

"AI Overview

coal tar pitch
Coke ovens are kilns that use destructive distillation to convert coal into coke, a solid fuel with high carbon content. During this process, volatile compounds are released from the coal, including coal gas and coal tar, a thick, dark liquid or semisolid by-product used to produce various industrial chemicals and products. Coal tar itself contains numerous substances, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), benzene, and other compounds. "

No one wants to dispose of toxic waste properly. Your two realistic options are converting it to coal tar asphalt driveway sealer or synethic dyes for food. Nasty stuff.
