My “local” guitar center is an hour away, so I always hit up the restroom when I get there, and it’s just the worst lol.

One of my more favorite pasttimes is go in and buy an 8x10 cab, and tell them they have to carry it out for me. Once they get to my car they realize there is no way it will fit, and I say take it back in and demand I want my money back.

Well it was a fun trip. I tried a few semi hollows, mostly a bunch of dead ass sounding overpriced junk but I fell in love with a very alive cherry red 335. $3500!!! Not sure how to afford that but dammit son I can't get her outta my head....

I tried a Les Paul Supreme, not sure what the deal was, it was thicker than a regular LP. Like a fat LP. Nice, but wasn't a cherry 335....

I tried a bunch of used PRS'. Maybe I should've worn tan pants. A couple of them were nice but I was surprised how thin the solid bodies were. Ain't no way I'm paying 4g's used for a thin PRS with a blushed out finish. It sounded real nice but one of the used cheaper ones that looked like a fruit roll up was pretty equivalent sounding tbh.

I actually had fun playing the PRS' they just weren't quite what I expected and they didn't have the hollowbody ii SE that probably would've allowed me to dominate the neo soul competition so no dice there. If it makes you feel any better they had a used iceman there but I forgot my Kiss clown makeup so I didn't try it.

As for Ernie Ball I did buy a few purple 3" patch cables but I didn't see any EBMM guitars there.

Tough to find EBMM out in the wild. I buy my guitars from MF; I've worked with a salesperson there for over 10 years; she makes sure I get a new guitar from the warehouse not off the rack at a GC or I'll be sending it back.

So far so good; and the points help, I have another 500 or so points that translate into $500 off my next purchase, but it's a never ending cycle.

Well, I pick the gear I want; she just lets me know if they have them in the warehouse; if they're out of stock, she let's me know; when they're back in stock she let's me know. She also finds any available discounts.

That axe was 97% of what the older 4k used custom 22's were. Tuners were cheaper but it had good pickups and a pretty sweet tone to it. I'm still thinking about it but I don't wanna get impulsive. As I was telling @sandman anything that isn't an ES is mostly just for hitting jams. I hate collecting shit so I need to let a guitar or two go first, which would take me down to one guitar, lol

I’m not proud of it, but honestly not really liking the finish options is what is keeping me from getting one lol
But really though, what’s the point of getting a prs if you don’t like the finish

Yeah I kind of agree but damn, for 600-700 used just to run around to jams and such that is a damn sweet sounding and playing guitar plus it ain't a boat anchor to tote neither. That finish then adding a set of tan pants to the equation and running a sneak attack on your local blues police would be a killer move.

You can find a used SE 594 for that price range. They have thicker bodies than the CU24 and CU22.
