Thanks! Not too much bigger than the Thiele.

Since these wide body cabs are listed as Rectifier cabs and your Mark V fits perfect on top.. how does that workout with the speaker only at 60 watts?

What's the difference in sound of the Celestion C90 and the Celestion 30 for anyone with experience with both.
mine came with a black shadow @ 90 watts if I remember right ...... I took it out like 5 or 6 years ago and installed a Alnico Cream @ 90 watts

Interesting.. I notice that yours has the 4 screws in the grill. I wonder if I can even buy that one new these days?

not sure .... I bought it used off of GC 6 or 7 years ago ..... stripped it and re covered it in the Viper Green along with my Mark V

Thiele with the MC90. Love those cabs.

I too downsized to (2) 1×12's, I have the Friedman 1x12's with Creamback 65's.
How did the Thiele compare to the Friedman 1x12s? I'm particularly looking to add this 1x12 for my DRECT module in my 20IR.

They both sound big for their size, with the Mesa sounding punchier with the MC90. That speaker adds less color, it's a bit more neutral, with tight bass, punchier low mids.

Can't go wrong with either. Keep in mind, the Mesa will be 8ohms, and Friedman 16 and comes with a Creamback 65.

Decisions, decisions.. I spent half the day yesterday testing various speakers in my 4x12 with this amp and thought I had it sounding pretty good. Then I plugged back into my JEL 1x12 and that thing just slayed. It sounded bigger and better in my little office. If I could get the back off, I'd run the same speakers in it and see if it was better with any of them..

It would look cool to have 2 red JEL cabs stacked with my JEL20. I might just get a second one.

there ya go ...

I've been doing more research on these widebody cabs like yours with the screws in the front like the Thieles and it seems these are widebody Thiele cabs... is your ported?
Yes ... the speaker is off to the side ...and it's all padded inside with a cotton type batting i think it's called

That's what made me get 2 Friedman 1x12's, I initially had a Pink Taco V2 stacked on top. They sound fantastic stacked.

I wonder why they quit making these?

That's good to know.. I love the tone with just one on the floor. I bet it would look really cool with two JEL cabs and the JEL20 on top.

I've got to get rid of this 4x12 to make room for these 1x12s.
