Give it up Dan. You or anyone else has no idea who when or why. He could have tweeted it and it would satisfy the clause. The clause is very unspecific. What isn't unspecific is the part where it says the president has 60 days plus 30 for withdrawal without congressional approval. This is all settled law. In fact I was having conversations about the WPA probably before you were even old enough to be politically aware. You can't name a president in your lifetime that didn't utilize it. Hell, maybe not one in the last 100 years.

If you mean pointing out the actual effective reality of the 1973 War Powers Act, which every president in all our lifetimes has employed and which only when republican presidents did it do dipshit socialist loser fucks like you complain about it, sure, I'll defend his actions in this case as legal. And I'd be willing to bet you a years salary ( for you that's less than what I pay in federal taxes) that every court would see it that way too. Have you noticed the democrats in congress aren't petitioning the courts about it ? Wonder why.
