How much would you spend on a guitar...

4K for my T/A and 3K for my Taylor. The rest of my guitars are all under 2K and I actually like that range better for electrics. I don't worry about beating them up. I'll probably end up selling the T/A because I seem to be getting away for 25.5" scale guitars. The only way I'd spend high dollar again is on a Les Paul R0 but that's a pipe dream at this point.

That's probably vintage? It's not the L-5 shark model from the custom shop. This is the sunburst #1;

This Benedetto Sinfonietta model starts at $40,000 new, plus any customizations:

I'll probably get another new D'Angelico from Asia for for $1700. :D

INSANITY!

That's for the Doctor and Dentist Market..

I ordered two Aristides 060s built exactly how I'd want, first one was $3200+/-, second was $4200+/- after import fees. Such a small price for me to pay because I will have them with me until I die. I never have to worry about fret sprout, fretboard cracking, body cracking, leveling the frets, headstock breaking.. Which have all happened to previous guitars I've owned. I can fix them and it's still not worth it to spend $$$ on wooden guitars anymore.

Like other people said, I'll just assemble a warmoth or partscaster for a few hundred and have it be exactly what I need. Aristides are the only guitars I'd spend $$$ on.

Looks sick. How long have you had it for? Asking since I'm curious about its purported neck properties of not moving at all with temp and humidity changes.. does it really do that? I'm particular about my neck relief, have a roasted flame maple with carbon reinforcement neck that moved a lot in its first years. The humidity here fluctuates from indoors AC dry to palpably moist monsoon humidity within days. No dead notes on the two? I'm jonesing for a headless one but I don't trust marketing and influencers for feedback and reviews. TIA

I think we're gonna need a pic of that PRS. It sounds really cool.

Here you go, it's a custom 24. Adding to this thread: I own four electrics, if I need something else for recording I borrow from friends. So over 25 years I spent about 20k on guitars, could most likely sell all of them for 10k total. To me that's good value, especially considering how much I enjoy playing these guitars. Never gets boring.

Good lord what a guitar. I get what you mean about it being a bit much to show up to a gig with because in the context of a just bunch of dudes playing, it's really fancy and ornate looking.

Still though, beautiful instrument.

Totally. Though another guitar of mine is a Dusty Waring PRS CE (~3k), most people can't tell the difference so I feel ok now. Both guitars keep me on my toes not to play like shit and look like a total dentist douchebag playing out (apologies to all hard working dentists here, if any, but you get what I mean...).

Idk if I’ll buy a new guitar ever again . I just always play my 3 Ibanez RG228s . I feel married to them . I’m set . I do grab my SG for blues and rock .

I got one in 2022 and the other in 2023. I forgot I also had a headless when they released them in 2020ish and a light blue one I traded for in 2019ish. The thing I like about them is that they need minimal adjustments. I work on guitars for a living and the last thing I want to do is work on my guitars when I come home.

- Blue Hipshot: I've adjusted once about a quarter turn, extreme weather.
- Blue Evertune: I've adjusted once because I changed string gauges.
- Headless: Never adjusted
- Light Blue HSS: Adjusted when I got it and set it up with different gauge strings.

I would pay 10k for an electric if I could get KXK to make me a custom and get it done in a year.

I have never played a nicer guitar than my old kxk. I just hated the floyd (i am a TOM guy), and the tone knob and neck pickup. View attachment 418739
That's an awfully nice guitar rig for someone who doesn't know much about guitar, or whatever you were saying to avoid posting neo soul clips 😆
