What the current value of a Marshall 4x12 with black back speakers (not sure if they are 25 or 30 watt) Cab has original revo casters too. My guess is $2,000+
Do the sides and back look just as clean? That's in fantastic shape from this angle. What the current value of a Marshall 4x12 with black back speakers (not sure if they are 25 or 30 watt) Cab has original revo casters too. My guess is $2,000+

Yeah, I have turned down pretty good money for my '72 Hiwatt 4x12 because I don't want to ship it. It's been sitting local pickup only over a year.I was looking and someone here sold individual blackback speakers for $299. So that’s $1,200 just in speakers. A used empty vintage 70’s cab could sell for $400-500. I know the original revo casters sell for a lot as well. I figured the total package is worth around $2,000. Before Covid I sold a clean blackback cab for $1800ish.
I’m just trying to gauge the market. Someone offered me $1,000 all in. Of course there is shipping involved. Shipping will be a few hundred. I think a local sale is likely the easiest and most profitable.
Depends on how bad you want to get rid of it. I wouldn't let it go for less than $1500 but you have to have a buyer willing to pay $1500. The market of cash buyers has deteriorated for music equipment, that's just the sad reality of it.I was looking and someone here sold individual blackback speakers for $299. I always pack things as if I'm shipping it to myself. In fact, this pastime is my favorite way to waste money!I've seen enough butt joints on headshells and cabs, and awesome vintage speakers get fucked up in shipping to dissuade me. Sure, it can be insured for the value. But then you also have to prove it was well packed, and damage was incurred during shipping sometimes. Also the thought of destroying cool af and sometimes near irreplaceable or expensive as hell to replace vintage gear.
One good hard drop, and the cab and possibly multiple hard to source vintage speakers are toast.
