I now have 3 412s loaded with them. They're awesome speakers. This was my first video with them, comparing to V30s. I have put up a handful of videos at this point.

I saw a video the other day about a guy who had to send his back do to some manufacturing issue. seems their pushing production a bit hard and quality is suffering, me thinks.

I bought 12 of them and haven't had any issues. Wonder what the percentage of issues is. One guy vs how many they've shipped wouldn't justify not getting one. Hard to say QC is suffering with a single anecdotal report.

I think Eminence is going to release some other models at NAMM...best to wait and see what happens...me thinks.

With the immediate commercial successes of the Mick Thompson DV-77s and now the Kristian Kohle Karnivores, I sense many more artist/producer collabs in Eminence's future

Haven't tried them myself, but everything I've so far I've liked. It'll probably take me several months to get to, but I'm planning to build a butterslax style cab with karnivores and Legend 15's.

Appreciate the kind words! The Bauers are siiiiiick guitars. I have 3 lol. The Strat is my main one, but I also have my original custom flying V from him and a custom koa topped V with a Dime headstock and Floyd.

I got a pair that I really like. I want to get 2 more and put them in a 412 cab.
Like a V30 that is darker without the annoying nasal mid honk. Darker than the Swamp Thang, but similar bass. I actually replaced a pair of K100s with these. I liked the K100s also though. I like K100s and T75s, but not so much the V30.

Hmmm… darker than a Swamp Thang? That surprises me. I gotta get my pair of Karnivore’s installed asap.

Yeah, this is contradictory to most of the comparison clips I've heard. The top end is different from a V30 and/or Swamp Thang, but it doesn't sound darker to my ears. That description is more like what I hear from a DV-77.

I have never used those, so I have no idea. They don't have the typical Celestion fizz though.

The Swamp Thang actually has a lot of presence. It just don't have the typical upper mid push. It is solid low end, low mids, and high end presence. The Karnivore kind of sits in all the frequencies the Swamp Thang lacks.
