I originally bought my xtc to keep it simple, funny as that sounds. Something to just plug straight in w/out pedals, eq or effects w/switches & knobs on them. It’s the most ‘musical’ and satisfying amp I’ve owned. The learning curve appears steep, but it’s really not once you get a handle on it. The reward for all the switches is that there are tones galore for just about any style or guitar/pickup choice inside the xtc. Great amp.
The new 104 drops the low input - I use mine and would miss that.
Looks like there's one on Reverb for almost 4500. I think it sounds pretty good from the last clip posted, but I don't think I will be letting my 101b go to get one myself. I don't think I will be spending that much for a variation of the XTC sound.
Possibly as an option would be to buy this version used down the line if the prices come down quite a bit?
